None. The lump was found on the mammogram and the surgeon said she wouldn’t have been able to feel the lump if the biopsy hadn’t enlarged it.

All went well.

July, 2004 to September, 2004 Sometimes when I swallow I start to cough. The esophagus was damaged. It will recover, but still hasn’t.

I’m on Exemestane. That’s not one of the options in the box above. It makes me tired. Not if I’m driving or walking or doing someing. If I’m listening to a lecture or sitting in church, sometimes the tiredness hits. Doctors say it’s one of the side effects.

Diet ContinuedViews: 111

Hi Everybody – Tanya, your smoothie sounds great. I may try it in the afternoon. I think your kids will have a great mother! When I raised my two daughters, we didn’t know any of this. You’ve got a head start.
Gemma – This is the thing. The doctors DO NOT tell you this kind of stuff. Does that mean they aren’t smart? Not at all. I’m guessing in med school, nutrition isn’t one of the big things they study. It should be! So just because the doctors aren’t telling you to eat healthier doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. My three friends are examples of women who took over control of their cancer/bodies, and it’s working. Now, I’m a big believer that while you’re in chemo or other stuff you treat yourself to some special things you like. But you can start on some of this stuff. I love salads. And remember, as long as you adjust your diet, you can go off it once in a while. I’m glad you are doing research for yourself. Let us know what you find out.
Jill – I’m a firm believer we need to be smart about these things, and when we share it makes us all smarter! Cute dog!
Hugs to all!
Karen
